|Children as young as five, will be taking part in this ground breaking event being held at Here East, located in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on December 4th. The state-of-the-art venue is the largest innovation centre in Europe; creating the perfect setting for hosting some of the UK’s youngest entrepreneurs.
Following a successful summer fair in July which had over 1200 registered attendees, an exciting and incredibly talented group of our youngest entrepreneurs will be selling their business creations at the UltraKids Club Winter Kids Business Fair.
Entrepreneur and mentor, Julian Hall, who is also the founder of Ultra Education, said:
Young Entrepreneurs from 5 to 17 years of age will be selling a varied range of products, and services, created solely by themselves.
Ultra Education was set up in 2014 with the sole purpose and goal of teaching entrepreneurship in schools in the UK. Since it’s launch, hundreds of pupils have taken part and graduated from the programme. However, to have a real and greater national impact, it is vital that the profile is raised even further and more is initiated for the programme to become a fixture in the lives of school children.
“We believe if real change is to happen then the Government needs to make entrepreneurship part of the national curriculum – not just in secondary schools, but in primary schools too. At the moment only a handful of pupils are lucky enough to learn these skills and often this is when they are about to leave school. We believe this is often too late and if we really want to give our children the tools for success then entrepreneurship education should start at five not fifteen”.
