Local Entrepreneurs Benefit from 30 Minutes with the Ultrapreneur
On Tuesday 16 July 2013 eight entrepreneurs in St. Kitts benefitted from thirty minute one-on-one sessions with successful UK entrepreneur and Amazon best-selling author Julian Hall. The sessions were organized as a partnership outreach activity between Julian Hall, The University of the West Indies Open Campus and eCaribbean Ltd and were well received by all participants.
Entrepreneurship is often cited as the key to unlocking a country’s true potential for national development and economic growth. As a result there are many who are interested in turning their talent, creativity and passion into a profitable business. This is no easy task and it is one that requires guidance, support and a generally nurturing environment.
The one-on-one coaching sessions provided an avenue for this type of support as they were private sessions held via Skype at The University of the West Indies Open Campus in The Gardens, Basseterre, St. Kitts. To complement the sessions and to lend further support to the entrepreneurs, each participant was given a gift of a copy of Julian Hall’s Amazon best-selling book Entrepreneur to Ultrapreneur.
The underlying strength of the sessions held on 16 July was the commitment of two successful entrepreneurs who seized an opportunity to lend support to those who are now beginning their journey along a similar path. Rodney Browne of eCaribbean and Julian Hall worked quickly to organize the sessions, with the support of The UWI Open Campus. The eight participants were seen in the space of four hours, which required careful planning and execution. This commitment to entrepreneurship and the promise displayed in the positive responses of each participant lends credence to the claim “the greatest use of life is to spend it on something that will outlast it” – William James 1842-1910.
